Individual Contribution Limits
For the 2026 election cycle, an individual may contribute up to $2,000 per election to a candidate for the Hawaii State House of Representatives. This means a person can donate:

$2,000 for the primary election (Primary Election Day August 8, 2026)

$2,000 for the general election (General Election Day November 3, 2026)
Totaling a maximum of $4,000 per individual for the entire election cycle.
Additional Contribution Limits
Other entities also have specific contribution limits:

Non-candidate Committees (PACs): Up to $2,000 per election

Political Parties: Up to $2,000 per election
-
Corporations and Labor Organizations: Prohibited from making direct contributions to candidates
